Bethany Lorentzen is a Jill of all trades - a singer, dancer, actor, music director, choreographer, and voice teacher based in Dallas, TX. She spent the last four years as a front line singer for DFW's #1 party band, Emerald City Band before sliding behind the keyboard with Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos. Bethany can be found dancing the night away with party bands around town, serenading guests at cocktail lounges, and tickling the ivories at every kind of event imaginable.

Bethany started singing at a very young age. She grew up in a very musical household, with a piano, a harp, and every other instrument her mother decided to bring home. She sang in church, school, and any living room that would have her, eventually earning first chair in the Texas All-State choir and a slot in the Musical Theatre program at Arizona State University.

During her time in Arizona, Bethany performed with Phoenix Theatre, Arizona Broadway Theatre, and Arizona Opera. Bethany worked with the late Damon Intrabartolo to originate the role of Marissa in the workshop and demo recording of his final musical, Plop!. Along with Plop!, Bethany originated multiple roles, including Colette (Shakespeare in Vegas - world premiere) and both Princess H and Sarah (Invincible - demo recording). In her free time, she discovered her love of Latin dance and music.

Since moving back to Dallas, Bethany has found a home in the local musical theatre scene as a performer, music director, and choreographer. Dallas also introduced her to the world of circus and aerial arts. She has been known to sing upside down in a hoop every once in a while. After a few years working with theatres all over the metroplex, Bethany joined top party band Emerald City Band as a lead singer and choreographer, where she has been able to sing at venues worldwide. She recently made her debut with Funimation as Moon Princess in the English dub cast of the film Sing a Bit of Harmony. When she isn’t behind a piano or in front of a microphone, Bethany can be found twirling on the dance floor, flying high on a silk, or cuddled up on the couch with her dog.

Some of her favorite musical theatre roles include: Diana Morales (A Chorus Line, Uptown Players), Daisy (Side Show), Dorothy (Wizard of Oz, directed by the legendary Don Bluth of Disney and Fox Animation Studios fame), Laurey (Oklahoma! - AriZoni Winner - Best Actress in a Non-Contracted Musical), Olive (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), and Cinderella (Into The Woods).

Recent choreography credits include: Newsies, the Music Man, Seussical (Firehouse Theatre), 13! (Centerstage Youth Theatre), 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (NTPA). Recent music/vocal directing credits include Daddy Long Legs, The Drowsy Chaperone, The Boy Friend, Grease (Firehouse), Beauty and the Beast, West Side Story, Songs for a New World (NTPA Rep), Addams Family (CORP).

Bethany's vocal students have been accepted into music programs such as Manhattan School of Music, Millikin, TWU, Texas Tech, and Belmont.
